The Tea Pot

I know full well none of my friends here are concerned, as I am, with Pro-Gun Politics, and the Defeat of all things threatening the freedoms Americans have enjoyed over the last 235 years as a Country. I shall from time to time boil over and blow off steam here and on other blogs I have. You can ignore or participate in the conversation. Thanks for listening

“Sharpe’s Terms”
By TS Tharp (May 2010)

The rider drifted in and out of sight as he galloped towards the redoubt. He traversed through the smoking grass fires ignited by the afternoon’s cannonade, a flag of truce fluttering. His horse whickered but remained true.

“Make way the gates you french bastards!” The shadow rider bellowed fearlessly, and again, “I’d ‘ave words with your Colonel so I would.”

A sergeant upon the fire-step countered; “And who might you be grasshopper!”

“Sergeant Harper, 95th Rifles.”

The Colonel attended Harper.

Colonel Debois read the surrender terms of Colonel Sharpe, ‘Surrender or die!’

“No!”

“Mores’ the pity. Bon chance Colonel.”

“Merci”
